Reading Plans

Explanation

The coloured times of the reading plan are the amount of minutes it roughly takes to read that portion. It’s based on the ESV audio Bible which is slow reading with a pace of 150-200 words per minute, which is the same as the Bible readings from the pulpit. The wisdom and NT parts are the same length every day, and the prophets come together or just after the passages in Kings and Chronicles, where their historic background is found. Lastly 1 Chronicles 1-10 is split up a little to avoid getting overwhelmed with too many names which makes the genealogies less daunting. The colours should the length of the reading in relation to the rest of that particular column.
